| It is with immense pleasure that we invite you to the 2020 edition of the International Conference on (Re-)Emerging Infectious Diseases (ICREID), which will be held in March 2020 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Organized by the Africa Centres for Diseases Control and Prevention (Africa CDC) and Virology Education, ICREID is a global platform that will bring together experts from around the world involved in emerging diseases in an interactive conference setting. Being the first to be held on the continent, we invite healthcare professionals, researchers, public health experts and policy makers involved in treatment, research, discovery and development of drugs and vaccines in the field of re-emerging infectious diseases. We aim at creating a highly scientific and educative abstract- driven conference consisting of key note speeches, state-of-the-art lectures, oral and poster abstract presentations, round-table discussion, debates, and in depth discussions to exchange knowledge on the latest clinical developments and updates on ongoing and new trials on various emerging and re-emerging diseases. We believe this conference will provide a platform where new data will be translated to treatment and intervention guidelines and will create a unique opportunity for community building and networking in the region.
